  40. this software was written by an American who never even *saw* an Umlaut,
  41. unless they are a M∩┐╜tley Cr∩┐╜e fan :-)

  43. I don't know if this is possible in Linux, but can you use MS-DOS Kermit
  44. in a dosemu window?  MS-DOS Kermit has all the same character-set
  45. capabilities as C-Kermit, *and* it's a VT320 emulator.

  47. I'd be interested to hear the results.  You won't be able to make TCP/IP
  48. connections with MS-DOS Kermit, since its built-in TCP/IP stack will
  49. conflict with Linux's, but you might be able to make serial connections
  50. -- that would be a pretty good test of your DOS emulator!
